I've been trying to figure this out too... I see a deadline for registration to vote in the primaries of March 30th. The deadline for the election is sometime in october, I think... So you can still vote, just not in the primaries :(

You do this by filling out a new voter registration form. the deadline is March 30th.

We can send you a new form to fill out but if you want to register to vote so you can participate in the city elections on November 8th you will need to go to your local board of elections office and get a new form.http://www.elections.state.ny.us/CountyBoards.html

Unfortunately, New York does not have same day registration.

You should be sure to change your registration right away to make sure you can vote next election.

Unfortunately, New York does not make it easy to find out. Many states have one simple online look up system, but there is not one available in NY.

To verify your voter registration, you'll have to contact your local elections office. Some county elections officials allow you to check the status of your voter registration through their website, by telephone, or both.
